What are the Production Standards for Seamless Steel Pipes

Seamless steel pipes are widely used in our daily life brings lots help. It is rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low alloy structural steel or alloy structural steel, with large production. It is mainly used as a pipeline or structural part for conveying fluid. Here I will share with you the production standards of spiral steel pipes.

Seamless steel pipe is made of a single piece of metal with no seams on the surface. According to the production method, the seamless steel pipe divides into hot rolled pipes, cold rolled pipes, cold drawn pipes, extruded pipes, jacking pipes, etc. According to the cross-sectional shape, the seamless steel pipe is divided into two types: round and irregular. The shaped tube has a variety of complex shapes such as square, ellipse, triangle, hexagon, melon, star, and finned tube. The large diameter is 650mm and the small diameter is 0.3mm. Depending on the application, there are thick-walled tubes and thin-walled tubes. Seamless steel pipe are mainly used as petroleum geological drilling pipes, cracking pipes for petrochemical industry, boiler pipes, bearing pipes, and high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors, and aviation.

The materials are ordinary and high-quality carbon structural steel (Q215-A ~ Q275-A and 10-50 steel), low alloy steel (09MnV, 16Mn, etc.), alloy steel, stainless acid-resistant steel, etc. According to usage, it is for normal uses(for water transmission, gas pipelines and structural parts, mechanical parts) and special uses (for boilers, geological exploration, bearings, acid resistance, etc.).
