Seamless Steel Pipe for Low and Medium Pressure Boiler Tube

Seamless steel pipes play a significant role in the construction of various low and medium pressure boiler tube. They are utilized to manufacture essential components such as superheated steam pipes, boiling water pipes, water-cooled wall pipes, and large or small smoke pipes. For locomotive boiler tube, arch brick pipes are also crafted from seamless steel.

The manufacturing of these boiler tubes predominantly employs high-quality carbon structural steel, primarily utilizing steel grades No. 10 and No. 20. Beyond ensuring the right chemical composition and mechanical properties, several rigorous tests are mandated. These tests include hydrostatic tests, curling, flaring, and flattening to assess the integrity and durability of the pipes.

It is important to note that seamless steel pipes can be categorized into two distinct types: hot-rolled and cold-rolled (also known as dialed) products. Hot-rolled seamless steel pipes are delivered in a hot-rolled state, whereas their cold-rolled counterparts are supplied in a heat-treated condition, ensuring enhanced mechanical properties and resistance to deformation.
